We are currently seeking a SME to execute O&M on a suite of business applications at a cabinet level agency. The role is a hands-on position working in an Agile environment. The management of the suite of applications is critical to the Agency’s mission every day of the year. The SME plays an essential role in several work streams as they will interface with many IT systems.

The SME position will require both management and technical skills (see below) to be successful. Also, experience as a federal contractor is essential. The position requires a solid understanding of the agency-contractor relationship as this position involves interaction with numerous federal managers and other contracting companies. Thus, the SME needs strong communication skills.  

What you will be doing

  • Conducting facilitated meetings/sessions to define system requirements and system design for specific fixes
  • Understanding enhancements and Agency re-engineering efforts
  • Understanding Agency standards and enable standards and conventions
  • Understanding and coordinating quality efforts (testing)
  • Understanding standard SDLC documents and processes

What you need to be considered for this role (required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of complex, large-scale computer systems and WEB applications, including system maintenance, modification, and resolution of system errors.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps (Software development and information technology operations).
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud and/or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with Salesforce, custom development (including Java), cloud environments (including AWS and Azure)
  • Proven expertise working with local area networks (LAN), Unisys/IBM Mainframe data environments, Linux, Oracle, and MS SQL
  • SDLC understanding
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while dealing directly with internal and external customers.
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green card Holder (and be willing to undergo a background investigation)

Position: Project Manager
Location: Washington, DC (Fully Remote)
Base Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and we are open to discussing compensation based on your qualifications and experience
